Hi, I'm Daniel
I work in application support, but a lot of what I have learned about networking and integration is trial and error, lots of breaking things and fixing things and finding the best solutions that best suit my environment.
Most of my learning is hands-on. I'd rather set something up, break it, figure out why, and rebuild it properly than just read about it. Each project I undertake has a specific purpose, either as a learning opportunity to gain skills and knowledge or to better my life and give me more control over my online footprint.

Infrastructure
I like understanding how parts fit together, not just getting them working once and leaving it there.
Troubleshooting
A lot of the useful learning comes from figuring out what went wrong and why it failed in the first place.
VOIP
A fully built VOIP system allowing me to make and receive calls, both within my home and to the outside world
